SURROUNDINGS
'De Kastanjehoeve'is located in the hamlet Den Hool, which is a part of the village Holsloot in the southeast of the province of Drenthe. It is an area of peat moors, canals, sandy paths and vast fields, but you will also find picturesque hamlets, monumental farmsteads and historic cities here. 'the Pieterpad, a well-known Dutch hiking trail, runs past our Bed & Breakfast and Tea Garden. Den Hool is located between the 2 cities of Emmen and Coevorden. Emmen is referred to as an open and green city. You will find the Wildlands Adventure Zoo there. Coevorden has the only castle of Drenthe, it's a huge and majestic building.
