OUR ROOMS

'De Kastanjehoeve'has two B&B rooms: de Voorkamer ( the Front Room ) and de Opkamer (the Upstairs Room). Both are attractive, comfortable double-bed rooms and have access to a private part of the garden with a table and chairs. There are sufficient parking facilities at the farmhouse and there is room to store away your bicycles.


Tea Garden

From Mars till October you can sit outside under the big chestnut tree at 'de Kastanjehoeve'. There are several cosy tables and chairs throughout the garden. If it is a bit too cold outside, you can find a place under the framework of the farm. 'De Kastanjehoeve'is an excellent starting point for a bicycle tour or a backpack hike. We'll privide you with a tasty lunch which you can eat on the way. After a walk or bicycle tour you can take a rest in our tea garden and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and homemade cake or a good sandwich.


THE SURROUNDINGS

'De Kastanjehoeve'is located in the hamlet Den Hool, which is a part of the village Holsloot in the southeast of the province of Drenthe. It is an area of peat moors, canals, sandy paths and vast fields, but you will also find picturesque hamlets, monumental farmsteads and historic cities here. 'the Pieterpad', a well-known Dutch hiking trail, runs past our Bed & Breakfast and Tea Garden. Den Hool is located between the 2 cities of Emmen and Coevorden. Emmen is referred to as an open and green city. You will find the Wildlands Adventure Zoo there. Coevorden has the only castle of Drenthe, it's a huge and majestic building.
